What is Food FirstFood First Foundation, NWT is a non-profit charitable organization with a focus on nutrition education in an active, hands-on learning environment. We want to foster a love of healthy food in northern children that lasts beyond their time at school. Food First Foundation, NWT distributed more than $400,000 of funding to school for healthy foods in the 2010/2011 financial year, more than any other organization operating in the Northwest Territories. We also provide funding and support to schools to operate Kids in the Kitchen programs across the NWT, showing kids how to prepare healthy meals and snacks in their own communities. Can I Get Involved?Yes, Food First is having its AGM on the 6th of September 2011, from 12-1 pm on the 2nd floor of the Jan Stirling Building and we would like to see you there.
